First Day

 First Day

Impressions
Our first impression was how hot it was. It was like 35 degrees Celsius and humid, therefore sweat didn't evaporate. The smell was worse because all the people were sweat, but it was also better because of the plants. When we got to the hotel we saw a lot of trees and a fluent of the black river. The trees were very tall, like 25 meters, and the river was very dark. There were a lot of animals making noise and people talking a lot.

Transportation

The transportation is very different than the one I used in Brasília. First of all we don’t go to school by airplane because it would be ridiculous. And in the Amazon we also used boats and canoes.

             Accommodations
There are a lot of things in the hotel that are very different from our houses or when we travel with our family. The first thing is that the size of the room is very different to the size of our houses. Our rooms are bigger and the bathroom is also bigger. Some people in our group live in apartments and some people in houses, but in the hotels there were a lot of little houses. In the hotel the rooms are far away from the lobby and in houses or apartments the rooms are already in it.
What we did on the first day
We had to be at the airport at 7:30 a.m. We left between 9:30 and 10 o’clock. We got there and had lunch at the hotel. The food was good, it had food from the region. After lunch we went to a monkey forest and we saw two types of monkeys, the Barrigudo and the red-faced. When we came back we stayed on the hotel to get the rooms organized. We ate dinner and then we went to the canoes to see crocodiles at night. We only saw like one or two. Then we came back to the hotel and slept early because we had to wake up early.
